The encounter between Neimar and Bahia's Nestor sparked a clash in the 30th minute of the first half, following which Neimar, having been tackled, struck Nestor with the ball. This led to a mass gathering of players. Neimar was subsequently shown a yellow card. By half-time, Nestor, in an interview, recounted Neimar's disrespectful remarks directed at him.
